Brain Gut Connect is a Nutritional Medicine Service. All practitioners are qualified in Nutritional Medicine or an equivalent discipline at the minimum of a bachelor degree level. Practitioners are accredited with a professional association and required to follow a code of conduct and ethics at all times.

Scope of Practice

Practitioners do not claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. The role of Brain Gut Connect is to provide professional advice from a qualified Nutritional Medicine Practitioner. The advice given is based on scientific evidence which practitioners have been trained to interpret, analyse and translate. It is the patient’s responsibility to choose how they use and follow the advice given, practitioners are not responsible for the patient’s individual overall health state.

It is the responsibility of the patient to disclose any/all information pertaining to their health to their assigned practitioner. This includes personal information, health conditions, health history, medications allergies and any other information relevant to their case. Inaccurate, absent or misleading information may hinder patient care or result in adverse outcomes. It is also the responsibility of the patient to inform their practitioner of any changes to their health, changes to medications or reactions to prescribed nutritional supplements. The patient consents to Brain Gut Connect contacting other health professionals they are seeking related care from and have disclosed.

Affiliates and Partners

Brain Gut Connect recommends the use of other services including other health practitioners, testing services, supplement suppliers and resource providers. Brain Gut Connect takes due diligence in recommending trusted third parties however their policies may be different and, it is your responsibility to read and agree to their terms.  Brain Gut Connect does not accept responsibility for miscommunication between clients and third parties.

Intellectual Property

Materials produced by Brain Gut Connect including written information, handouts and educational material on specific topics remain the intellectual property of Brain Gut Connect unless permission to copy is granted. Patient information and handouts, educational material or books produced by other parties will be used in accordance with their specific copyright intentions. Scientific papers and articles used for research purposes and information contained in these will remain the property of the authors. Recipes, articles and workshops produced by Brain Gut Connect remain intellectual property and are subject to copyright. Marketing and promotional material produced in written or digital format remain the property of Gut Brain Connect.
